Greek heavy psych / stoner rock band PARANOID REVERB have unveiled details of their new release, "Red River Black Roots", which marks a darker and more focused phase in their career following their 2020 debut album, "Billion Drops". The album, shaped by the addition of new vocalist Manos Gotsis, is preceded by its second single, '0315', which is now available to stream.

Due out on September 18, 2026, via Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records on CD and digital formats, "Red River Black Roots" sees PARANOID REVERB expand their heavy psych / stoner rock foundations with denser rhythmic structures, darker tonal shades, and atmospheric layers. The album is built around a more organic sonic approach that retains the raw energy of the band's live performances.

The recording process also played a defining role in shaping this approach. Recorded in April 2025 at Shellac Recording Studios in Thessaloniki, the album was completed the following month at producer Paris Parasidis' studio. Alongside traditional instrumentation, PARANOID REVERB incorporated organic percussion, metallic objects, and ambient textures into the recordings, creating a structure that moves between heavy passages and hypnotic sections.

At the heart of the album's narrative are themes of pressure, introspection, renewal, and the tension between decay and transformation. The title "Red River Black Roots" reflects this idea: the river symbolizes a descent into chaos, while the roots represent a return to one's point of origin. In this way, the album's thematic direction and musical progression converge around the same metaphor.

This new chapter is rooted not only in a shift in musical approach but also in a change to the band's lineup. With new vocalist Manos Gotsis on board, PARANOID REVERB describe the album as their most focused and personal work to date.

The album's second single, '0315', follows 'Red River' and is now available across all major digital streaming platforms.
